A golden snake helmet from the production of Jonathan Liebesman’s 2012 fantasy adventure sequel Wrath of the Titans.

Living as a fisherman with his son after the death of his wife, Perseus (Sam Worthington), son of Zeus (Liam Neeson), is called to action once again as the ancient Titan, Kronos, threatens the life of the gods as well as those of the men on Earth. Can he defeat the scheming Hades (Ralph Fiennes) and the jealous Ares (Edgar Ramirez) with the help of Queen Andromeda (Rosamund Pike) and navigator Agenor (Toby Kebbell)?

This helmet and others like it were made for the production and were worn by the actors playing Queen Andromeda’s personal guard. Made of resin and hardened rubber and hand painted to look like bronze, it features an ornate design of a snake with a large fin protruding out of the back.

The helmet has been intentionally distressed to look battle worn, with cuts and slashes all over it. It features padding on the inside to be more comfortable for the actor wearing it.

The piece shows some wear from production use and storage, including additional scuffs and scratches. Most notably the fin has at some point come away and then been reattached with glue, so there is obvious glue residue. Despite this, the piece remains in a very good condition.
