An emergency door release panel used in the 2009 sci-fi thriller Pandorum. Waking up from suspended animation, two astronauts, Bower (Ben Foster) and Payton (Dennis Quaid) wake up with no memory of their mission or their destination. Realising their ship is running out of auxiliary power and that it's overrun with cannibalistic humanoids, Bower sets off to jumpstart the reactor and try to save the remaining members of the Elysium's crew.
This box can be seen clearly in the film at the door separating the bridge from the rest of the ship, where Bower finds the door non-functioning and has to force his way out. Made of steel and wood, this box features a glow in the dark “Emergency Door Release†sticker and screw up locks. When opened, the panel reveals a textured metallic backing with a pull-down lever that can be moved up and down.
The box is covered in blood, presumably from the scene where Bower, running from the cannibals to get to the bridge, fires his riot gun at close range, resulting in a fountain of blood all around him. In overall good condition with only minor wear from use on the production and time spent in storage. The box measures 42cm x 40cm x 14cm (16.5†x 16†x 5.5â€).
