A hand-drawn Mariano Diaz sketch of a Trojan warrior from the production of Wolfgang Petersen's 2004 mythical epic Troy. The ancient kingdoms of Troy and Sparta did battle to control the Aegean Sea. The costume was designed by Academy Award®-nominated costume designer Bob Ringwood and rendered by Diaz in graphite on paper.

Labelled “29”, this sketch shows a front view of the soldier’s armour. The costume features greaves, a shoulder plate, a chest plate, tassets, a loin belt and arm bands. Completing the ensemble is an ornate helmet with a nose-guard, an aventail and a feathered plume. The soldier is depicted carrying a sword and shield. Diaz’s autograph is hand-signed in pencil at the bottom of the illustration, along with “Trojan War 2002”.

The artwork exhibits some light creasing, but overall it remains in very good condition.
