A Mariano Diaz hand-drawn Achilles (Brad Pitt) alternate back view armour concept from the production of Wolfgang Petersen's 2004 historical war epic Troy.

The costumes in Troy were designed by Academy Award and Oscar-nominated costume designer Bob Ringwood and rendered by concept artist Mariano Diaz in graphite. Labelled ‘26’, this costume design concept has been hand-drawn on thin layout paper and shows the back view of Achilles dressed in a ridged shoulder plate, a pleated tunic, bracers, greaves and a helmet with a tall crest. He also carries his sword in his right hand. Diaz’s autograph is hand-signed in pencil at the bottom of the illustration. This costume concept differs slightly from the final design seen on screen.

The artwork exhibits minor creasing and smudges from production use, and the edges have been cut unevenly. Horizontal fold lines are also present along the top and bottom edges. Otherwise remains in very good overall condition.
