A hand-drawn Mariano Diaz sketch of a Spartan warrior from the production of Wolfgang Petersen's 2004 mythical epic Troy. Menelaus (Brendan Gleeson), King of Sparta, did battle against Troy after his wife Helen (Diane Kruger) left him for Paris (Orlando Bloom).

The costume was designed by Academy Award®-nominated costume designer Bob Ringwood and rendered by Diaz in graphite on paper. Labelled “39”, this sketch shows a front view of the soldier’s armour. The costume features bracers, greaves, tassets, a shoulder plate and a chest plate. Completing the ensemble is a helmet with a nose-guard. The soldier is depicted carrying a spear. Diaz’s autograph is hand-signed in pencil at the bottom of the illustration along with “T-War”.

The artwork is in excellent condition.
