A hand-drawn Mariano Diaz helmet sketch from the production of Wolfgang Petersen's 2004 mythical epic Troy. Achilles (Brad Pitt), Greece’s greatest warrior and leader of the Myrmidons, joined the Spartan army of Agamemnon (Brian Cox) and supported his fight against Troy.

The costume was designed by Academy Award®-nominated costume designer Bob Ringwood and rendered by Diaz in graphite on paper. Labelled “21”, this sketch shows a side view of Achilles’ helmet. The helmet is depicted in a Chalcidian style with pointed cheek pieces, a nose-guard and a neck guard. At the top of the helmet is a tall feathered plume, befitting its wearer’s high status.

The artwork is in excellent condition.
