A miniature post box made for and used in the production of The Avengers, the 1998 big screen adaptation of the classic British TV series.

John Steed (Ralph Fiennes) and Dr. Emma Peel (Uma Thurman) team up to foil a plot by the evil Sir August De Wynter (Sean Connery) who seeks to change the Earth's weather and hold the planet to ransom.

The miniature is a replica of a classic British post box and would have been used for the scene in which De Wynter unleashed his weather device on the world, covering London with a thick layer of snow. The entirety of Trafalgar Square was built in miniature, along with cars, cabs, buses and Nelson's Column, to accommodate the live action effect.

The post box is made of hard foam, covered in plastic, resin and acrylic. It is painted red with a black base and features small details to look more realistic, such as the royal insignia, handles and locks. There is wear from production use, and there are quite a few scuffs and scratches, revealing the paint beneath. On the base the resin has been chipped away, revealing the hard foam. Overall it is in good condition.
