An ape soldier costume and mask from Tim Burton's sci-fi remake Planet of the Apes. Ape soldiers were notably seen following General Thade (Tim Roth) and Colonel Attar (Michael Clarke Duncan) during the final battle. This mask was created by renowned special effects artist Rick Baker, who designed and created all of the film's prosthetic makeup.

The costume comprises a crimson, pointed urethane helmet; a foam-latex gorilla mask; a black neck bib; a set of red fibreglass chest armour with attached woven leather sleeves; a textured woollen long-sleeved top; a padded upper-body muscle leotard; a navy spandex full-body suit; a pair of gloves with ape-like fingers attached; a pair of black faux-leather hand covers; a patterned waist wrap; a pair of textured woollen trousers; a pair of red fibreglass shin guards; a pair of lace-up check-patterned boots with exposed ape toe appliances; and a stunt bolas throwing weapon. Multiple components feature labelled background/stunt actor names. The foam latex has crumbled away in places on the mask's interior.
