A set of chimp gloves and ape feet from Tim Burton’s sci-fi remake Planet of the Apes. In the film, astronauts aboard the Oberon spaceship operate the console while in flight. Actors portraying chimps and apes wore varying prosthetics during their performances.
The chimp gloves each have fingers made of foam urethane that has been hollowed out for each actor's finger. A beige glove has been inserted into each glove for use. The feet are also made of foam urethane and have a rubber sole adhered to each bottom. Both the hands and feet have been fashioned to appear simian with paint and hair and show minor signs of wear from production use and age. One chimp finger is no longer adhered to the glove, but is included.
The set remains in good overall condition.
