"I'd like to see your world."
A set of behind the scenes photographs from the crashed alien ship in Tim Burton's 2001 sci-fi film Planet of the Apes.
Lost through a singularity during a deep-space exploration mission, astronaut Leo Davidson (Mark Wahlberg) finds himself stranded on a primitive alien world where apes " not humans " sit at the top of the evolutionary ladder.
Taken for the scene in which Davidson and the humans confront an army of apes within the crashed desert spaceship these photographs show the scope of the set and its construction. Providing a fascinating insight into the filmmaking process they depict construction crew and equipment, illustrating how the set was built and supported.
The seven photographs are printed in full colour on A3 sheets and display minor creasing and edge tears from use. One features acetate backing.
Materials: Paper, Acetate.
