The Land That Time Forgot (1974) was the first in a series of sci-fi/fantasy B-movies directed by Kevin Connor. The artwork for the film was created by renowned British artist Tom Chantrell, known for his colourful and lively designs. Chantrell’s artwork adorned posters for classic films, including Hammer productions and Star Wars. This particular piece is hand-painted on illustration board and was created for the UK VHS cover artwork released in 1974. Also included in the lot is a transparency, a tracing paper overlay, a copy of the film’s synopsis composition and a video cover with handwritten annotations. It remains in an unrestored condition maintaining its bright colours.
