A hook gun from Justin Lin's action film Fast and Furious 6. During the film's climax, Owen Shaw's (Luke Evans) group attempts to flee on an aircraft but it is held down by Dominic Toretto's (Vin Diesel) crew via the use of grappling hooks.
This example of grappling hook is a stunt variation. Made from foam urethane, the grappling hook is lighter than a real one and is safer for performers to use while filming. Painted to look as though it is made from metal, the piece appears like a realistic tool.
This piece shows some signs of wear from production use and storage, including scratches to the paint and slight cracking to portions of the urethane, but remains in overall good condition.
