Gold scissors from the 1991 psychological thriller Dead Again. In the film, private detective Mike Church (Kenneth Branagh) is tasked with investigating a stranger with amnesia (Emma Thompson) who has reoccurring nightmares of a woman being murdered. Gold scissors like this can be seen throughout the film as Grace (Thompson) has recurring nightmares of a wife’s murder at the hands of her husband Roman (Branagh) using a pair of scissors.
The scissors are made of metal, colored gold, and has an intricate antique pattern design on the handles and finger grips. These are working scissors featuring a small yellow stone at the handles’ end and the words “Die Schere,” which translates from German to “the scissors” on one of the blades.
The piece shows minimal signs of wear and remains in very good overall condition.
