Steven Spielberg's personal note from circa the production of Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Handwritten in graphite and signed in black marker on yellow lined paper in Spielberg's signature script, this elliptical, ruminative note reads "It's not the time/It takes to take/the takes that takes/the time - It's the/time it takes between/the takes that takes/the time." The paper exhibits some crumpling on the bottom and pinholes throughout from being hung. Dimensions: 21.75 cm x 33.5 cm (8.5" x 13.25")
