Starry Sky and Muncie, Indiana projection plates from Steven Spielberg's sci-fi drama Close Encounters of the Third Kind. UFOs passed through Muncie, Indiana, and caused a power outage. Actors stood in front of images projected from the plates.

This lot consists of a translucent film between two glass plates taped together, featuring an image of Muncie, Indiana, beneath a dark starry sky. The plate is marked "Aug. 1, 76 Plate - 8" and "Front." This lot exhibits marks on the glass and tape, fading, ripping on the edge, and smudging. Dimensions: 10" x 8" x 0.25" (25.5 cm x 20.5 cm x 0.75 cm)
