A tactical vest used in the production of Edward Zwick's political thriller Blood Diamond. Caught between ruthless warlords and corrupt mercenaries, gunrunner and diamond smuggler Danny Archer (Leonardo DiCaprio) finds himself deep in Sierra Leone, forging an alliance with fisherman Solomon Vandy (Djimon Hounsou) in the search for a massive pink diamond.
This vest was used by one of the bodyguards for Colonel Coetzee (Arnold Vosloo) for stunt sequences. A commercially available South African Assault Vest, the tactical equipment is made of ballistic nylon with an array of brown pouches and black straps on the front and rear. Pouches have been filled with foam, and a label internally reads "Nduduzi Colonel's Stunt Bodyguard SFX". Various written detailing has been added and then dressed down on the back to give it a lived-in, field-used look.

Distressed for use with some minor wear from use in stunt sequences, the vest remains in overall very good condition.
