A display created by EMI to promote the release of The Beatles' eighth album Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band on CD. Displays were produced to be exhibited within store windows, such as HMV on Oxford Street. The card display features the iconic Peter Blake and Jann Haworth album cover artwork, with a pop-out section of The Fab Four standing behind a drum. An additional part of the display comprises an image of a CD with The Beatles logo and four empty Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band CD cases adhered underneath. The lot shows minor edge wear and several marks, and comes from the personal collection of Chris Hewitt, noted audio archaeologist and author of several books on vintage sound equipment. Dimensions (larger piece): 68 cm x 99 cm x 4 cm (26 3/4" x 39" x 1 1/2")
