This lot will be sold on Thursday August 27th (day 2 of the auction.) Lots 434-870 will be sold on day 2 (lots 1-433 will be sold on day 1). The auction will begin at 10:00AM PDT. Wolverine's (Hugh Jackman) VFX claws from James Mangold's superhero sequel The Wolverine. Wolverine used his retractable claws as he was forced to defend himself while summoned to Japan to help fulfill the dying wish of an old friend.

This lot consists a pair of base section claws each with three rigid urethane claws. Both sets are attached to metal grips by curved rods which are meant to fit between the wearer's knuckles. Fitted to the actor, these claws were used for shots in which Wolverine would stab something. Visual effects would later add the rest of the blade lengths during the sequences. These claws are in good overall condition with some wear from production, marks drawn on the tips of the blades and "L" and "R" written on each grip to indicate the left and right claw.
