Near Mint Rolled; Artist John Alvin

Keeping the mystery alive, artist John Alvin creates a sweeping silhouette amidst otherworld possibilities with this poster for Ron Howard's Willow. With his characters in profile gazing off at wonder in the distance, Alvin makes use of what is unseen and makes for a dazzling portrait. The icing on the cinematic cake here is both Howard and George Lucas personally autograph the poster.

This poster is in incredibly clean condition. We would have loved to give it a "mint condition" rating; however, due to a signature on it (no matter how good that signature is), it does change the poster from its original printed state, so we slightly down-grade for that.

Conceived and produced by George Lucas, Willow hoped to do for fantasy what Star Wars did for sci-fi. That didn't prove to be the case, but the Ron Howard-directed, Warwick Davis-starring adventure garnered much affection, building up enough of a following to warrant a Disney+ sequel series over 30 years later.
