A rare original Belgium poster for Robin Hardy’s folk horror The Wicker Man starring Britt Ekland. The raised arms and bareback of Ekland stand out against the burning yellows and oranges of the background. She looks over her shoulder, seemingly at the dark silhouette of the Wickerman in the foreground. For a horror film, The Wicker Man would be considered an oddball with its inclusion of choreography, singing and a giddy dream-like ambience. Yet it quickly established itself as a cult classic that has heavily influenced modern cinema, including Ari Aster’s Midsommar (2019). Provenance: The Personal Collection of Dave Worrall.
