Hand-Painted Benny The Car Colour Test Animation Cel

A Benny the Car animation colour test cel from the production of Robert Zemeckis' fantasy comedy film Who Framed Roger Rabbit.
This acetate cel depicts a concept painting of Roger Rabbit's car. Although labelled "Benny The Car", this design differs from the final yellow cab design in the movie. The cel shows Benny as a purple convertible with a red interior and a gold tooth, with handwritten annotations of colour numbers and shade names. It is painted onto a transparent acetate sheet, with "Tongue - 077" written in black marker in the bottom left corner, and placed loosely onto the top of a sheet of plain paper. A brown-coloured strip runs down the left side, and the acetate exhibits some light scratching and marks. Dimensions: 31 cm x 42 cm (12.25" x 16.5")
