This lot will be auctioned on Sunday, November 6th. A set of original costume design artworks hand-painted by the Costume Designers Guild Award-winning Joanna Johnston, from the production of Steven Spielberg's sci-fi horror War of the Worlds.

This set comprises coloured costume designs for Ray (Tom Cruise) and Rachel Ferrier (Dakota Fanning), significantly Ray's signature leather jacket, rendered in a mix of watercolour and pencil on five pages of A3 watercolour paper. Each artwork features Johnston's signature and a stamp that reads "Designed by Joanna Johnston".

Accompanying these designs is a photographic still and a magazine cut-out of Cruise on set. The pages exhibit smudges and small tears in the perforated top edge, from where each sheet has been removed from its drawing pad. Dimensions (each sheet): 40.5 cm x 30.5 cm (16" x 12")
