A collection of scripts and other production paperwork from the career of the legendary Stan Laurel, one half of the comedy double act Laurel and Hardy. Laurel's film career began in 1917, and from 1927 he worked exclusively with his comedy partner Oliver Hardy until Hardy's death in 1957. He was awarded an honorary Academy Award in 1961 "for his creative pioneering in the field of cinema comedy."

This lot features a total of 27 scripts, story addendums, dialogue addendums, and story synopses from the career of Laurel, many with ownership signatures handwritten by Laurel, with the exception of one, which cannot be confirmed. Laurel is a credited writer and director on several of the productions. The documents are housed in a black custom clamshell box, embossed in gilt, "Laurel & Hardy - Scripts - Stan Laurel's - Personal - Copies."
