Our expert's notes

A set of bones, teeth, eyeballs and plaster casts from various productions. These items come directly from the estate of Stuart Freeborn, the legendary make-up and creature effects artist.

The set includes a pair of flayed legs with resin bones around which are wrapped paper that is intricately painted to depict sinews. The hinged bones are connected to each other via metal screws drilled into their condyles. The set also includes a nose plaster cast labelled “Albert Finney – Orient” in reference to the 1974 mystery film Murder on The Orient Express, on which Freeborn worked.

Also included in the set are acrylic human and animal eyeballs; synthetic hair samples; resin teeth and gums; body part polaroids; an animal jaw plaster cast; and several resin bones, including femurs, tibias and fibulas.

The lot is in good production-used condition.
