A Myrmidon warrior’s armour worn in the adaptation of Homer’s great epic Troy. After falling for the beautiful Helen (Diane Kruger), Trojan prince Paris (Orlando Bloom) smuggles her aboard the ship of his brother, Hector (Eric Bana) to take her to Troy. Seeking revenge, the Greek armies led by Agamemnon (Brian Cox) and the legendary warrior Achilles (Brad Pitt) set sail for Troy, where one of history’s greatest wars will be waged.
This armour was worn by a Myrmidon soldier under the command of Achilles. The costume consists of a set of body armour made from leather with a woven effect, brass studding and leather overlapping sections on the shoulders, all held in place with leather ties. The body armour has no name written inside. At the bottom there are small sections of leather “skirt” which would give a little covering but wouldn’t restrict movement. The costume is rounded off with a pair of greaves and arm bracers made of leather and metal plating and a pair of leather sandals with comfortable rubber soles. The helmet, originally part of the set, has been removed.

Well used on the production, the armour shows signs of corrosion to the rivets and the metal plating on the shoulders has been deformed through use. However, in spite of these minor flaws, the armour remains in an overall good production-used condition.
