A Mariano Diaz hand-draw Menelaus (Brendan Gleeson) court robe costume design from the production of Wolfgang Petersen's 2004 historical war epic Troy.

The costumes in Troy were designed by Academy Award and Oscar-nominated costume designer Bob Ringwood and rendered by concept artist Mariano Diaz in graphite. Labelled ‘28’, this costume design concept has been hand-drawn on thin layout paper. It depicts Menelaus dressed in a long woven robe with tassels, a draped scarf, ornate shoulder and chest details and holding a staff. Diaz’s autograph is hand-signed in pencil at the bottom of the illustration. This costume concept differs from the final design seen on screen.

The artwork exhibits minor creasing and smudges from production use, and the edges have been cut unevenly. There is also a vertical fold line present along the left edge. Otherwise, it remains in very good overall condition.
