A Mariano Diaz hand-drawn Helen of Troy (Diane Kruger) costume concept from the production of Wolfgang Petersen's historical war epic Troy.

The costumes in Troy were designed by Academy Award and Oscar-nominated costume designer Bob Ringwood and rendered by concept artist Mariano Diaz in graphite. Labelled ‘7’, this costume design concept has been hand-drawn on thin layout paper and shows Ajax holding a large axe and dressed in grieves, bracers, a headband and a draped sash fastened by a large brooch on his left shoulder. The illustration is titled ‘King Ajax’ next to Diaz’s autograph hand-signed in pencil at the bottom of the page. This costume concept differs from the final design seen on screen.

The artwork exhibits minor creasing and smudges from production use. Otherwise, it remains in very good overall condition.
