Achilles' (Brad Pitt) metal sword from Wolfgang Petersen's Troy. Achilles wielded his sword throughout the film, using it to brutal effect during his efficient despatch of Boagrius (Nathan Jones) in the opening scene, as well as in his battles against the Trojan Apollonians, and the vicious duel with Hector (Eric Bana).

Made of metal, this custom Greek xiphos sword consists of a curved blade painted a matte gold-colour to replicate with decorative engravings and no guard. Finished in black paint, the grip follows the organic curve of the blade and has two parallel sets of holes also painted the gold-colour to create the illusion of rivets on the grip. Green paint has been added to create the appearance of verdigris. The weapon exhibits paint wear, scratching on the blade, and bending to the tip. Dimensions: 71.5 cm x 10.25 cm x 4 cm (28" x 4" x 2")

Blade was dulled by production.
