A hand-drawn Mariano Diaz sketch of Achilles’ (Brad Pitt) armour from the production of Wolfgang Petersen's 2004 mythical epic Troy. As the ancient kingdoms of Troy and Sparta battled to control the Aegean Sea, Greece’s greatest warrior Achilles supported the Spartan army of Agamemnon (Brian Cox).

The alternative costume design was conceived by Academy Award®-nominated costume designer Bob Ringwood and rendered by Diaz in graphite on paper. Labelled “6”, this sketch shows a front view of Achilles’ armour. The costume features bracers, greaves, tassets, a shoulder plate and a loin belt. Completing the ensemble is a helmet with a nose-guard, cheek-plates and a plume. Achilles is depicted wearing sandals and carrying a sword.

The artwork is in excellent condition.
