This lot will be sold on Wednesday 2nd December (day 2 of the auction.) Lots 464-913 will be sold on day 2 (lots 1-463 will be sold on day 1). The auction will begin at 2:00 pm GMT. An orc prosthetic head from Peter Jackson's epic fantasy trilogy The Lord of the Rings. Orcs were the footsoldiers of the Dark Lord's armies and wrought havoc throughout Middle-earth.

The head is a foam-latex prosthetic, hand painted to look like rough skin, with a set of resin teeth. Wispy faux hair is attached to the nose, ears and around the head. The prosthetic sits on a black flock head in order to keep its shape. There is some wear from production use and age, including some areas where the latex has dried and flaked away, most notably on the top of the head and around the neck, where there are also two notable splits. Dimensions: 22 cm x 19 cm x 29 cm (8 3/4" x 7 1/2" x 11 1/2")
