A baby Benjamin Button sculpture made for David Fincher's 2008 period drama The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Set between 1918 and 2013, the film tells the tale of Benjamin Button, a man who mysteriously ages backward.
Created during the film’s pre-production stage, the piece is sculpted from clay and was made as a concept piece to depict young baby Benjamin as an infant with wrinkles and aged skin. The piece depicts the head of an infant with wrinkles and jowls as well as leftover lines from the sculpting tools used to create the piece. The sculpture is mounted on a metal rod that is secured onto a wooden base.
The piece shows some wear from production and age, but it remains in good overall condition.
