A pair of spacesuit boots from Danny Boyle's sci-fi thriller Sunshine. Capa (Cillian Murphy) and Kaneda (Hiroyuki Sanada) both wore their spacesuits and boots while repairing the shield panels on the spaceship Icarus II.

The boots are made of fibreglass painted gold. Each features a metal cuff with a metallic vinyl trim, and has a metal stand fastened to its base, which protrudes out of the boot. The upper and lower sections of the boots are separate pieces, attached via a hinge on either side, to allow the ankle and calf to flex. The left boot has a woven nylon fabric lining, while the right features a metallic grid sole. Both boots have been intentionally distressed for production and exhibit additional abrasions to the paintwork, rusting to the metal stands, and dust from storage. Dimensions (each boot): 41 cm x 26 cm x 45 cm (16" x 10 1/4" x 17 3/4")
