A Jar Jar Binks (Ahmed Best) eyeline reference head from George Lucas' Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. While the character seen in the final cut of the film was computer generated, actor Ahmed Best performed as Jar Jar on-set during filming, wearing a Jar Jar head on top of his own to give his costars an eyeline to look at.

The Phantom Menace, the first new Star Wars film in 16 years and the first to be directed by Lucas since the original 1977 film, was one of the most highly anticipated films of all time and broke box office records upon release. The film was nominated for three Academy Awards®: Best Sound, Best Sound Effects Editing, and Best Visual Effects.

This eyeline reference, sculpted to appear as the upper half of Jar Jar's head without ears, is constructed primarily of foam painted red-orange and beige with acrylic eyes featuring yellow irises. The bottom of the head is open, as it was meant to be worn like a hat, and the head includes a black stand for display. It exhibits cracking and some paint loss throughout the finish, as well as staining to the foam interior. Dimensions: 30.5 cm x 20.5 cm x 19.25 cm (12" x 8" x 7.5")
