Hero Battle Droid Left and Right Arm Components used in George Lucas' 1999 sci-fi prequel, Star Wars - Episode I: The Phantom Menace. In the film, Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn (Liam Neeson) and his apprentice Obi-Wan Kenobi (Ewan McGregor) must protect a young queen when the planet of Naboo is taken hostage by the greedy Trade Federation and an army of droids. Droids can be seen throughout the film during their occupation on Naboo and subsequently during the films final battle.
Made from resin, this droid arm consists of a left upper arm paired with a right hand and forearm. This piece features functioning joints at the elbow, wrist, and fingers, allowing it to easily be manipulated into any position. The piece has been painted an off white color and textured to appear worn from battle with scratches and scuffs to the paint. While many of the joints have been hinged, both the forearm and the thumb attach to the arm with simple metal pegs, although they do not lock securely and can be easily removed. The forearm includes an inscription carved into the joint that reads "R Hero."
When laid out, this item measures approximately 3" x 4" x 30" (8cm x 10cm x 76cm) and remains in good production used condition.
