A vintage Style B One Sheet Poster created for Irvin Kershner's 1980 sci-fi classic, Star Wars V - The Empire Strikes Back. Issued in 1979 in anticipation of the release of the film, this poster features the film’s lead cast around a pack of Stormtroopers advancing on a rounded surface. The top of the poster reads "The Star Wars Saga Continues" while the bottom of the poster shows the classic title and credits block. This piece is a unique purple variant and is printed in a darker tone of printing than other versions of this poster. This variation exists as it was only circulated internally throughout the studio. Later theatrical variations are printed with blue tones and have different information printed along the white boarder. This rare poster has been stored rolled and shows some minor wear to the paper due to age and storage, however it remains in overall excellent condition.
