A rare 12" Chewbacca figure flat box from the promotion of Irvin Kershner's Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back.

In 1980, Kenner planned to continue its large-size, 12-inch action figure range, and one of the characters proposed was Chewbacca. However, the figure was never produced, and the only characters released in packaging bearing the Empire Strikes Back title artwork were IG-88 and Boba Fett, both of which were released in limited quantities.

The flattened cardboard box comes in a plastic protective casing, with an Action Figure Authority (AFA) sticker featuring the toy's grading (50 VG) adhered to the casing's right side. The lot is accompanied by a Collectible Investment Brokerage certificate of authenticity.
