An Original Framed Production Storyboard used during the making of Irvin Kershner's science fiction sequel, Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. This framed storyboard shows Luke Skywalker falling from a platform after his fateful encounter with Darth Vader. Below the image is a short description of the action, with a breakdown of the elements to the right, which notes the use of a matte painting for the reactor shaft.
This storyboard is labeled 'CC 41,' dated 12/4/1979, and is printed on white paper. The storyboard features original hand written annotations from the production process, such as "V.V." which means VistaVision. Included on the drawing is a yellow strip of tape that was placed to indicate that the shot had been completed. This item comes presented in a custom built wood display frame and is backed by a laser cut mount board with the movie logo. Due to production use, this storyboard features minor wear, however the piece remains in otherwise very good condition.
