This blueprint is a copy taken from a production-used original. It was printed more than twenty years ago as part of a publishing project that was never realized. This blueprint has never been commercially available and is therefore a scarce collector’s piece offering a unique insight into the making of Star Wars - Ep V - The Empire Strikes Back.

The original blueprint this copy was printed from was hand-drawn by a draftsmen working under the art directors and production designer in the film’s art department. Blueprints are frequently the inception of set designs and a core element of the overall production design. Drafting blueprints is an art form that has been in place since the early days of cinema.
