A hand-drawn Star Destroyer Industrial Light & Magic (ILM) photo composite concept sketch from Irvin Kershner's Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. This concept sketch, rendered in graphite on drawing paper, features the Star Destroyer in the background and a Rebel Transporter in the foreground. This concept sketch was created possibly by Joe Johnston or Nilo Rodis Jamero for ILM for use in photo composite images created by Terry Chostner and ILM's stills department. Photographs of the models in certain angles were used to create a composite still photo for marketing and publicity releases. The final photo can be seen in the 1990s Star Wars Chronicles book. This lot exhibits a mounting hole at the top, smudges, and fraying material around the edge. Dimensions: 9" x 8.5" (22.75 cm x 21.75 cm)
