A Rebel pilot helmet visor from George Lucas' Star Wars: A New Hope. Rebel X-wing and Y-wing starfighter pilots wore their standard-issue helmets with visors down while piloting during the climactic siege on the Death Star in the Battle of Yavin.

The Rebel pilots' helmets were fabricated for the production by Shepperton Design Studios - the company responsible for all the helmets and armor seen in the film besides Darth Vader's (David Prowse) - based on John Mollo's designs. This style of visor was created for shots in which helmet-clad pilots were visible while loading into their starfighters prior to the siege.

Constructed from ABS, this visor originates from the collection of Gerard Bourke. It features a slanted flat top for securing to a helmet as well as compartments for the wearer's ears. The front left eye and chin pieces exhibit having been broken off, as are segments from the back of the visor, and its original white has faded to gray from age.
