A piece of the Death Star model used in the 1977 sci-fi Star Wars film A New Hope. Created by ILM model-makers, this piece was once part of the large filming miniature of the Death Star surface. This item features many interlocking complex pieces which simulate a futuristic industrial look and is made from biscuit foam.
The Death Star segment measures approximately 1.5" x 3" x 3” (8cm x 4cm x 4cm) and comes presented in a custom-built opening frame display. The display includes a UV-Plexi facing over a laser-cut mount board featuring the film’s title as well as two stills from the film. This display can be easily opened and closed by use of magnets on the side, allowing for easy access to the prop. This piece remains in very good condition.
