Dr. Beverly Crusher (Gates McFadden) and Dr. Katherine Pulaski's (Diana Muldaur) light-up electronic medkit from the sci-fi series Star Trek: The Next Generation. Crusher and her brief replacement, Pulaski, carried medical equipment in a medkit. This piece was first introduced in Season 1's "Lonely Among Us," and saw reuse throughout the series in various configurations, including Season 5's "Cause and Effect" in Crusher's quarters; this configuration is as-seen in Star Trek: First Contact, on a shelf cart when Crusher activates the EMH (Robert Picardo) to delay the Borg.
This light-up gray painted thermoformed plastic case is reinforced with wood strips and gray inserted with foam padding. The interior features the following vinyl details: silver pinstripe squares, white pinstriping, white numbering, and repurposed tricorder graphics. The case exterior features white vinyl pinstriping and tape across surface faces, a white screen-printed Caduceus on front; sparse silver-color vinyl pinstripe rectangles; a back-lit yellow, amber, and purple translite LCARS interface with red, blue, and green round-cut acrylic inlays at top left; and two small circular LED light features (red on the top, green on the side). Three different switches power various light features. The lot exhibits scratches, paint chips, scuffing, color fading, foam disintegration, and missing side detail. Dimensions: 11" x 12" x 4.5" (28 cm x 30.5 cm x 11.5 cm)
Contains electronics; see electronics notice in the Buyer's Guide.
