A light-up Type-1 "Cricket" phaser from the series Star Trek: The Next Generation. The smallest, most basic weapons carried by Starfleet personnel, Type-1 hand phasers were used throughout the series. The paint layout of this particular phaser is that of those from the later seasons, including Season 5's "The Game" where Wesley Crusher (Wil Wheaton) used one as a distraction.

Dubbed the "Cricket" by production and fans, the predominantly plastic phaser features two bronze-colour buttons and trigger plate with a silver-colour foil embellishment. Depressing the right button illuminates the green setting indicator bar. Depressing the trigger plate activates the orange emitter lights to indicate the phaser "firing." The trigger plate can be slid out to access the electronics and battery. The piece exhibits wear from production use and age, including scuffing and discolouration, and has undergone sympathetic restoration. Dimensions: 9 cm x 4 cm x 3.25 cm (3.5" x 1.5" x 1.25")
