A handbill promoting the Sex Pistols concert at the 400 Ballroom, Torquay. The show was originally scheduled to take place on Tuesday 5th October 1976 but was cancelled by the local council. This early gig was scheduled before the release of their first single, "Anarchy in the U.K", and their controversial TV appearance on the Today show with Bill Grundy aired in December 1976. Printed on white paper, the handbill features the band name, venue, the time the doors were to be opened and the admission price. "5th" is written in black marker, added after the flyer had been printed. The lot exhibits minor marks and creasing. Dimensions: 20.5 cm x 33 cm (8" x 13")
