A Ferrari cockpit body used in the production of Ron Howard’s 2013 sports-drama, Rush. Based on a true story, the film follows racing icons Niki Lauda (Daniel Brühl) and James Hunt (Chris Hemsworth) during their infamous 1976 Formula One season. As their rivalry on and off the track begins to take its toll, a near-fatal injury leaves Lauda fighting for the championship and Hunt in pole position to take the title.

This cockpit body belongs to the Ferrari 312 T2 driven by Clay Regazzoni (Pierfrancesco Favino) during the second half of the 1976 Formula One Season as he and fellow teammate Niki Lauda compete to bring home a world championship victory for the Ferrari team. Made from fibreglass, the body of the cockpit has a red and white paint finish with various decals applied to the surface, including ‘Ferrari’ emblems, Regazzoni’s race number ‘2’ and sponsorship logos for ‘Agip’ and ‘Heuer’. A black wing mirror fixture is located on the right-hand side of the body and a clear plastic windscreen is fitted across the front of the cockpit, both of which are bolted through the fibreglass. There is slight damage to the cockpit screen, but it otherwise remains in very good production-used condition. The cockpit measures approximately 270cm x 126cm x 45cm (106.25 x 49.5 x 17.75”).
