Matted poster concept artwork for Sylvester Stallone's Rocky III hand-illustrated by legendary American commercial artist Bob Peak. Known for designing some of the most recognizable posters in film history, including those for the first five Star Trek films, My Fair Lady, and Superman, Peak created multiple concept artworks for Rocky III, including this painting depicting Rocky Balboa (Stallone) training for his climactic battle with Clubber Lang (Mr. T), though none were ultimately used. Peak was honored for his contributions to illustration with a 2011 exhibition at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

This artwork is rendered in mixed media on illustration board set into black foam core. It exhibits bent and smudged corners, and scuffed foam. Dimensions: 30" x 40" x 0.75" (76.25 cm x 101.75 cm x 2 cm)
