The torso skeleton and head of an EM-208, used in the production of the 2014 remake RoboCop. Critically wounded as a victim of a car bombing, police officer Alex Murphy (Joel Kinnaman) becomes the guinea pig for OmniCorp’s new cybernetic law enforcement programme. Rejoining the Detroit police to public acclaim, Murphy begins to override his programming and is soon on a one-man mission to rid Detroit of corruption.
These components formed the main body and head of the EM-208, OmniCorp’s automated answer to crime waves sweeping across America. A marvel of 2028 engineering, Murphy ends up battling the EM-208 on numerous occasions, first as part of his combat trials and later as he fights to bring down OmniCorp and bring their CEO, Raymond Sellars (Michael Keaton) to justice.

The components are cast in plastic, ensuring they remain lightweight, and are finished in gloss black and metallic grey paints. A deep gloss red is used for the android’s eye slit. The torso component features an array of detailing, with cast-in pistons, joints and a faux-pneumatic spinal column. Joints at the hips and shoulders allow for the fitting of legs and arms. Steel cables are still attached at the shoulders, which would have been used for moving the machine during special effects sequences in the film.

Displaying some minor wear from use on the production and with some damage to the side of the robot's head, the set remains in overall very good condition and is presented on a custom display base featuring the film’s title artwork. The piece measures 38cm x 36cm x 108cm (15” x 14.25” x 42.5”) when displayed.
