A test Rex dinosaur suit from the unproduced film Rex. This suit was made during very early stages of production to give an idea how the film would use practical effects to portray dinosaurs. The outside of the suit is made from blue, green, and purple. This fabric features plush scales that have been sewn in throughout.

The costume is supported by a foam and plastic frame and closes with in the back with a zipper can Velcro straps. The head and legs are separate and fasten to the costume via snaps. Inside the head is a metal plate that contains two ball joints. This allows the head to moved in a realistic manner with the help of two attached rods. The head also features two painted plastic eyes. The legs contain foam padding and are lined with leather on the bottom of the feet for durability. Dimensions: 104” x 22” x 31” (264 cm x 56 cm x 79 cm)
