Dr. Carl Hill's (David Gale) severed head from Stuart Gordon's horror comedy Re-Animator. To protect his work, Herbert West (Jeffrey Combs) beheaded Dr. Hill and re-animated him to take notes.

This specific head was featured in Fangoria issues 5 and 55, and auctioned off by the magazine from producer Brian Yuzna's personal collection for its "Get a Head" contest in 1986. Built from ornately detailed foam and latex, it features a large, exposed neck wound at the base with layers of fat, muscle tissue, bundled tendons, dangling nerves, and lifecast vertebrae all painted red to appear bloodied; bulging plastic eyes with clear outer domes painted blue; and a synthetic dark brown wig with hair hand-glued onto the sideburns. Gale wore a similar wig while filming as production could not match a wig to his natural hair colour.

Also included are two Letters of Authenticity from Fangoria editor Tony Timpone. The head is extensively applied with blood, some of which is flaking and crusty from age. It exhibits cracking in the foam and loose threads in the neck wound. Dimensions: 34.5 cm x 15.25 cm x 21.75 cm (13.5" x 6" x 8.5")
