Rambo's (Sylvester Stallone) SFX Knife used to kill Major Tint (Maung Maung Khin) from the production of Stallone’s 2008 action film, Rambo. Living a quiet life in Thailand, John Rambo is hired to ferry a group of missionaries into Burma. When they are reported missing, Rambo joins a group of mercenaries to venture into the war zone and retrieve them from captivity. Following the film’s chaotic climax, Major Tint meets his demise as he is seen being disemboweled by the legendary hero’s handcrafted blade.
This SFX blade was used to slice open a squib during the antagonist's gruesome death scene and is crafted from a solid piece of aluminum with three small razor blades replacing the blade. The bladed edge comes sheathed in a small leather cover with a handwritten label reading, “Tint’s Death Knife, Danger, Sharp Blades.” A painted coat of black and white has been applied for slight detail just beneath three razors. The item’s hilt is made in the likeness of Rambo’s full-sized weapon with a black grip-taped handle and small black carrying strap at the base.
This piece shows some wear from production but remains in good overall condition.
